I finally understood...

After months into marriage, i finally understood what pastor Lim said about the Husband being the head of the family and should always be the first to take any spiritual attack for the family to protect the family.

My wife had been undergoing tremendous stress at work lately due to her disorganized boss who really don't know anything about WORK! My wife had been pouring her sorrows to me, telling me everything about her work. Work seems to suck everything out of her. In the beginning, i prayed with her because i know it's my duty to do so. But after some period of complaining, i started to be tired and felt that it's a chore listening to her. However i still continue to comfort her and pray for her as a doting husband. Praying becomes a routine responsibility.

However, this morning God spoke to me.While i was at work and uttering my prayers as i walk to work, God spoke to me. He told me that i'm my wife's protection and i'm the head of the house. The way to cover my wife and be the first to take any spiritual attack is to listen to her. Let her transfer all the attack she suffer at work to me. I will then receive all her discomfort and stress just by listening to her. This way, i am actually protecting her and covering her. I finally got it. Listening to my wife's complain and praying together with her is actually protecting her from any attacks! Wow! What a revelation!

Praying for her is no longer a routine responsibility. It's a way i show love to her. It's a way i can protect her...
